Diploma Authentication System
Diploma authentication by scanning the QR code on its back side is possible for the diplomas issued by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences starting from 13 December 2021. The authenticity of those diplomas, as well as those issued earlier without a QR code printed on the back, can be checked here by entering all the required information.
Authenticity of a diploma is confirmed by checking its registration in the blockchain distributed ledger system.
To authenticate a diploma, follow the instructions shown next.

Authentication by entering diploma data
Find identification data on the diploma: first name, last name, JMBAG (unique identification number of the academic citizen), and diploma number. Then enter the required information in the appropriate fields on this page, making sure that all information is entered exactly as stated on the diploma. Then check "I'm not a robot" and submit your verification request by clicking "Submit".

Confirmation of authenticity
After scanning the QR code or entering the correct information and sending it for verification, wait for the results to load. If the diploma is registered in the blockchain distributed ledger system, the screen will show a green certificate of authenticity of the diploma with basic information that should be identical to that shown on the diploma, the option to display more details of the certificate, and an additional option for independent authentication. If the diploma is not registered in the blockchain distributed ledger system, a red mark will appear on the screen with the information that the diploma with identification data read from the QR code or entered on this page is not registered. This means that either the diploma is not authentic, or the required information was incorrectly copied from the diploma to the authentication system, or a diploma without a QR code was issued before 13 December 2021 and has not yet been retroactively registered in the system (in this case contact the Student Office of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for manual authentication).

Verification of proof in the blockchain distributed ledger system
Data from issued diplomas are encrypted and entered in the digital register. A cryptographic hash of the data that uniquely identifies the diploma and confirms the integrity and accuracy of its data, including the issuing date, is registered in a blockchain distributed ledger system to allow independent diploma authentication. This information can be viewed by selecting the "Proof from the blockchain distributed ledger system" option on the results page.
